My name is Shauna Tatum, and I am a certified colon hydrotherapist with a deep passion for gut health, learning, and helping people feel safe and supported in their healing journey.
I struggled with severe digestive issues since childhood, and those challenges only intensified as I got older. Over the years, I worked with wonderful doctors and naturopaths and learned so much along the way. But it wasn’t until I began incorporating colon hydrotherapy into my wellness routine in 2003 that things truly began to shift for me—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Colonics helped restore my digestion, brought me peace of mind, and played a huge role in helping my body return to balance.
Just as powerful as the therapy itself was the relationship I had with my colon hydrotherapists. I always felt held in a safe, nonjudgmental space, fully supported, cared for, and respected. That sense of safety allowed my body to relax and release in ways I hadn’t experienced before. That experience changed my life and inspired me to want to offer the same care and space to others.
“Creating a safe space where clients can release, heal, and gain confidence is at the heart of everything I do.”
-Shauna Tatum
In 2018, I became a certified colon hydrotherapist and truly found my calling. I am a self-described gut health fanatic and absolutely love learning. I am always continuing my education, staying curious, and expanding my knowledge so I can share what I’ve learned with my clients. I believe that education empowers people and helps them feel more confident and connected to their bodies.
For the past four and a half years, I’ve had the privilege of working at Health2o in Danville, a place I truly love. It’s such a special, almost magical space. I feel incredibly grateful to work with amazing clients and alongside coworkers who genuinely care about healing, integrity, and compassion. I honestly don’t feel like I’m “going to work” when I’m there. It’s a joy and an honor.
What I love most about this work is helping people reconnect with their bodies, build trust in themselves, and feel supported in a judgment-free environment. Creating a safe space where clients can release, heal, and gain confidence is at the heart of everything I do.
In addition to my work as a colon hydrotherapist, I’m also a kindergarten teacher, which reflects my love for nurturing, patience, and meaningful connection. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling to Monterey with my husband, walking my dogs, spending time with my family, and appreciating life’s simple, grounding moments.
