At Health2o, I often say that our physical health is deeply intertwined with our emotional history. Sometimes, the body “holds on” due to a moment of stress or shame from decades ago, leading to years of silent struggle.
Rachael’s journey is a profound example of how addressing the physical can lead to a total life transformation. She has graciously shared her story with us, from the initial “lockdown” in boarding school to the life-saving discoveries made during her sessions. Here is Rachael’s story, in her own words:
“My journey of chronic constipation began 35 years ago while away at boarding school. (Yes, I’m from the East Coast). I was in a stall when another girl came in; and later that day, I overheard her mocking me. The embarrassment hurt so badly that I trained my body not to ‘go’ while I was at the Academy. I would wait all week until I went home on Saturdays. This unfortunate habit lasted through university, roommates, and boyfriends. I was uncomfortable all the time.
Three years ago, while visiting family back East, they commented on how grey and pallid I looked. It had been 17 days since I’d had a bowel movement. I booked the fastest colonic available and walked out with a ‘glow.’ I knew then that as soon as I got home to California, I needed to continue this process.
That is how I found Jeanine at Health2o. I was immediately put at ease and felt instantly happier. My husband noticed the pep in my step and the color returning to my face. Then, during my fourth session, a four-foot-long parasite was released through the hose. I was shocked and disgusted, but Jeanine helped me through it. Over several months, each visit exposed even more, a whole ‘family’ of parasites. Jeanine and her team at Health2o were able to help me release them entirely.
It has been almost three years since I began this journey. Regular sessions at Health2o are necessary not only for ridding me of those parasites, but for removing the toxins that caused my low energy, mood swings, and stress. Jeanine has taught so much about how gut health is connected to brain health.
While the parasites are gone, a terrible injury has rendered me incapable of ‘going’ by myself. Because of this injury I have to take medication. This medication is necessary for me to survive and function, however it leads to further constipation as I now have no muscle motility in my intestines and colon. My weekly colon hydrotherapy sessions allow me to feel like a ‘regular human’ by eliminating the daily toxins we all consume. Health2o has legitimately saved my life.”
Rachael’s resilience is a reminder that we don’t have to carry these burdens alone. Whether you are dealing with the remnants of old habits or navigating new health challenges, we are here to support your body’s natural ability to release and heal.
